Feature Description: A short-term rental is the rental of any dwelling unit or bedroom for periods of 29 days or less. Operators must obtain a business licence from the City of Kelowna to legally rent residences on a short-term basis. The short-term rental must be within your principal residence unless your property is in one of the three exemption areas:<br/><br/>Exemption: Permitted as a Principal Use<br/>The use of a dwelling unit or one or more sleeping units within a dwelling for temporary overnight accommodations for a period of 29 days or less as a principal use. The dwelling is not require to be your principal dwelling.<br/><br/>Exemption: Permitted as a Principal Use with 6 a month restriction<br/>The short-term rental accommodation must maintain at least 6 months a year of long-term residential use.
